Two potential losses on that schedule:

Penn State (who will be better than everyone thinks) and USC (who still "out-talents" the Irish)

That is IF the Golden Domers get past Georgia Tech in the first game of the season.

Upset alert!!!

Still, I see them finishing the season 11-1 and making a BCS bowl, because the rules are such that its hard for Notre Dame NOT to make a BCS bowl.

Matt,

After our influx of residents into Houston, I figured gunfire and wailing would be a welcomed sound.

You've got a point there, Sedosi. Georgia Tech isn't that great of a team -- they're very inconsistent. But with that inconsistency comes the ability to blow up on any given Saturday and upset a much better team. Obviously, I hope that won't happen this week, though I hope it happens every other week of the season.

Weis knows this as much as you and I do, and I'm sure he's told his boys to be on guard for that sort of thing.

I agree, the Irish will make a BCS bowl. But I have to take exception with your idea that it's because "the rules are such that its hard for Notre Dame NOT to make a BCS bowl."

Look at the Irish schedule. We've got #19 Penn State, #14 Michigan, and we finish up with USC. The rest of the schedule isn't a cakewalk, either -- Michigan State, Stanford, UCLA. It's a pretty tough schedule, and I'm confident that the Irish would rate a BCS bowl even if they played by the rules of lesser programs. :)

Federico, I have two points.

1. Kiss my ass.

2. Take your countrymen back to their wretched below-sea-level hellhole where they can't kill me and my loved ones.
