Semi-literate terror sympathizer weighs in
Back in February, I posted the infamous Mohammed cartoons. Well, that didn’t sit too well with some folks. The following comment just arrived in the Mattsapundit Central Receiving Depot from a Houston-based commenterr called “TheMuslimBro”:
You narrow minded fools have no repect for beauty. I must say, what my brothers are doing is wrong, but they have their reasons. Only those with an I.Q. above 60 would understand that it hurts, and just because some mulsims are terrorists, doesn’t mean all are. And about the literacy thing, life whil you can retard, I own a 1,000,000+ house in American, and we’re taking your jobs. Pray to Allah for forgiveness, and he will surely forgive you.
Okay, I’d better tackle this one one point at a time. Here goes:
You narrow minded fools have no repect for beauty.
Bro, my culture doesn’t destroy ancient religious artworks, cover every trace of femininity, or threaten actors for making TV movies.
I must say, what my brothers are doing is wrong, but they have their reasons.
So? Merely having a motive doesn’t justify anything. Like Pat Green says, we’ve all got our reasons.
Only those with an I.Q. above 60 would understand that it hurts
What hurts?
and just because some mulsims are terrorists, doesn’t mean all are.
I never said they are.
And about the literacy thing, life whil you can retard,
I assume you mean “laugh while you can.” I assure you, I’m laughing my ass off.
I own a 1,000,000+ house in American, and we’re taking your jobs.
Bro, you’ll never make those mortgage payments if you take my job.
Pray to Allah for forgiveness, and he will surely forgive you.
I suppose. But my beef isn’t with Allah. It’s with some of his more whacked-out followers:

Let me preface this by saying: I am not a Muslim. I have never picked up a copy of their holy book, and I don’t know a single word inside it. That being said, though, can we resort to common sense for a minute?
How could killing everyone with different beliefs contribute to the common good? If everyone that had different ideas were dead, we’d all be wearing leaves and living in caves. We’d still be knocking women over the head and dragging them back to our humble abodes.
I’m all for freedom of religion. I know more than one person who has made changes in his or her life based on religious beliefs who has become happier as a result. And there are several reasons I care, some of which are selfish.
I filled up this weekend for more than three times the price I was paying five years ago. I don’t know how the highest concentration of civil unrest happened upon the exact same spot as the highest concentration of crude oil, but it did, and now I’m forced to deal with it.
Secondly, I hate hearing “3 dead in car bombing” and “24 killed in helicopter crash” and “suicide bomber kills 36 women and children without blinking.” I hate that. And it doesn’t speak much to Muslim self-preservation. After enough time and C4, maybe the problems will just iron themselves out.
The whole problem has to do with a difference in ideals. My ideals are being able to work hard to make a better place for myself and my family without having to worry too much about others interfering for no reason. From what I can tell, Muslim ideals are more along the lines of “Convert or die, Whitey!” My question is why?
Why convert? Because you’re insulted by a cartoon? Let me present this scenario: I’m insulted by the Lockhorns, so I bomb the Washington Post’s headquarters. Makes perfect sense, right? Hagar the Horrible said something about Vikings, and I’m of Scandinavian descent. Down with the New York Times! Die in a nuclear fireball, infidels! or… I didn’t think Dilbert was particularly funny today. I think I’ll get on with my life.
I don’t particularly care about being politically correct, and anyone who knows me will tell you that’s the case. If you’re offended, deal with it. Insult me back. Tell me why I’m wrong. Go with the old “your momma” bit. But what is so difficult about the idea of freedom? Freedom for women to wear skirts. Freedom for children to survive. Freedom to live in whatever country you feel like. Freedom to say that Jesus is your savior. Freedom to work towards the common good without being destructive or violent. (As an added bonus, your own well-being is part of the common good.)
Try some of these things instead of blindly following the misguided ways of those who came before you. Try thinking for yourself. Try saying, “Destruction and holy war is wrong” and “children shouldn’t be slaughtered for my stupidity.” And then we’ll see what happens at the pump.
I couldn’t get anyu further than this…
“Bro, my culture doesn’t destroy ancient religious artworks”.
How old are you matt, I am guessing about 28-32? Read much history do you? College educated? Don’t have much knowledge of the crusades do you? Heard of the Firebombing of Dresden? Know that currently the U.S. military built a BASE on top of ancient Babylon? You are an ego centric child.
Nope 24 year old, private school educated white boy. SURPRISE. Twit.
Hey, look, Thomas found the clearly-labeled “About Matt” section, and it only took him six hours!
Congrats, Thomas!
I think it’s hilarious that you imply I’m uneducated, then berate me for having a Catholic school education.
Kudos go out to Iceman for a well-thought-out comment, complete with proper punctuation and verbs. Are you taking notes, Thomas?
Quoting Pat Green, huh? I knew you were a good guy!
I wonder if Tommy-Boy heard of the gassing and incinerating of six million jews? Just might explain a little bit about Dresden.
Matt, just let me know and I’ll send Jimmy & Rocco over to
straighten things out for ya. Just give me an address.
So the Nazis kill millions of jews so in response we burn to death tens of thousands of women and children, who aren’t Nazis but they are the same nationality of the nazis. Okay, that argument wins with me. Guess it is I who needs to study MY history.
Thomas – so let me get this straight – WE (the 1940′s Era United states) should have done nothing about Hitler’s murdering of Jews, not to mention his almost-successful push to take over Europe in its entirety?
Got it. Now I know who we’re dealing with.
Matt – Where do you dig up these guys?
thomas seems eerily similar to Wil Barnes.
Long live Wil Barnes!
