9 times, the owner uses a female pronounce or posessive when mentioning the cat.

Of course, the reporter then uses a male posessive.

Wow, thanks for linking to this.

We were watching 24 on Monday night on Fox, and the local newscast teased to this video. My wife wanted to watch it, of course, and I said, "Are you sure you want to do that?"

My opinion of most local newscasts is that they are pretty bad, and I hate watching them. They're pretty much what Jon Stewart is making fun of, and there's a reason why he's so dead-on. They're so fake -- both in terms of the way they relate to readers and the news they present -- that it's all too easy to parody them.

But the local Fox affiliate's news was just absolutely the worst I'd ever seen. Uncomfortable happy talk, stupid writing, cumbersome segues, shallow stories. We couldn't get past 5 minutes of it, and never did see the cat video.

So, bless you, Matty B!
